Concert of Hope and Remembrance Rehearsals start on June 7th
CONCERT OF HOPE AND REMEMBRANCE
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2016
Join us as we sing to lessen the burden of cancer on Anderson County residents!
It’s that time again! Rehearsals for the Concert of Hope and Remembrance begin on Tuesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. The concert will be presented on Saturday, September 24 at 7 p.m. All rehearsals as well as the concert will take place at Boulevard Baptist Church. We are grateful to our Boulevard friends for welcoming us with open arms again!
This is our 15th Annual Concert!!!! Conductor Bob Heritage has chosen the theme, “The Greatest of These.” All selections will be connected to the theme of Love: God’s love of us, our love for God, romantic love, and love for our fellowman. There is even an Irving Berlin piece titled, “I Love a Piano!”
We will be following our usual policies to manage attendance and the cost of music:
1. Express Check-in. Each choir member is asked for a $25 donation to subsidize the cost of the music. You can pay when you come to the first rehearsal. However, if you send a check now or pay through the Cancer Association website www.cancerassociationanderson.org, your music will be reserved and you won’t have to wait in line to check-in on June 7th.
2. Reserve Your Place. If you cannot pay now, please, please, let us know you are planning to sing by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling the CAA office at 222-3500.
3. Open Enrollment Month. This is a “y’all come” choir. If you invite any other singers to join us, remind them that June is our “open enrollment” month. No one can join the choir after our June 23rd rehearsal except by invitation of the conductor. New singers can also send checks or pay through the website to reserve their music.
4. Attendance. Your attendance is important! Your voice is important!! Whether you are a seasoned musician or a novice, you make a difference. Consistent absences can make everyone else feel like their time, effort and commitment are less valuable. You can miss no more than four (4) rehearsals without the permission of the conductor and still remain in the choir. For the good of the choir as a whole, we must insist on regular attendance. You make a difference!
Hope to see you on June 7th!
In order to keep our costs down – if you find that for any reason you cannot participate, we must have your music returned immediately. This is CAA’s major fundraiser which allows us to provide financial assistance to Anderson County residents battling cancer
